  • Some My Little Pony temporary tattoos.

This isn’t the first time that sock blanks have featured in our boxes and if you’re not sure how they work they check out this post where Mel explains exactly how they work.

Doctor Who inspired “The Starry Night” sock pattern

image

“Look at the sky. It’s not dark and black and without character. The black is, in fact deep blue. And over there: lighter blue and blowing through the blues and blackness the winds swirling through the air and then shining, burning, bursting through: the stars!”

This pattern is written for top down magic loop but can easily be knit using DPNS, and would also work toe up, though the effect will be slightly different.

The pattern is an interpretation of thd Van Gogh quote about. A simple twisting rib replicates the swirling winds while tiny star stitches adorn the side borders and the silver stellina in the yarn, whilst not “bursting through” adds a little shine.
