Hello there! I have some seriously awesome yarn boxes to share with you today. It’s going to be a bit of an epic post as I’m going to catch you up with the final boxes of 2016…and there’s a fair few because Mel has been super busy dying yarn and to my shame, I’ve been super bad at blogging!
First up…
The Walking Dead Surprise Sock Box! Everyone who ordered this box received:
- A Walking Dead project bag
- A themed charm by the ever talented Wychwood Dreams
- 100g skein of “Dibs is Dibs”
- Packet of sweeties
This was one of the most popular boxes among my friends, I had loads of people drooling over the yarn and bag but sadly for them it was mine…all mine!
At the end of October we released our spooky Halloween/Bonfire Night themed box.
Mel is pretty awesome at thinking outside of the box (pardon the pun!) so the colourways in this box we’re a little different from the traditional orange and blacks. I think they turned out amazingly, as did our customers.
For those who ordered Short, they received:
- 100g skein of “Candy Corn” on a gold sparkle sock base
- A sparkler (who loves trying to spell their names out with these before the light disappears?)
- A Halloween themed straw
Those who ordered Tall received:

Next up, one of my favourite themes of the year, TV Crime Dramas. What’s your favourite Crime show? I think currently I have to go with Criminal Minds.
Those who ordered Short received:

- Chocolate bar with a themed wrapper
The Tall box contained:

In to December, our first box of the month was…
Downton Abbey. You have to hand it to us Brits, we sure know how to make a decent period drama!
For customer who purchased Short, they received:
- 100g skein of “Countess Dowager”
- An 1 ❤ Downton badge
The Tall box contained:
- All of the above
- A fascinator headband
- An I ❤ Downton fridge magnet
- Wychwood Dreams created an amazing lace collar necklace
And in the Grande box, you could find:

- 100g skein of “Christmas at Downton”
Also in December our final instalment of the “Four Seasons” boxes was released.
This box contained:
- 100g skein of “Winter Wonderland”
- A Mistletoe stitch marker/bag charm by Wychwood Dreams
- A hand painted glass by Boo It’s Sparkly – this completed a set of glasses, one for each season, they turned out amazingly!
Our next box was a surprise addition to 2016 but Mel does love to share the yarny joy so I present to you…
The Surprise Christmas Box. For those unlucky souls who missed out, here’s what was included:
- 100g skein of “Merry Christmas”sock yarn
- Handmade Candy Cane stitch markers by Wychwood Dreams
- A hand painted coaster by the talented Boo It’s Sparkly
- A small pack of sweeties in a themed bag
Finally, the last but most certainly NOT least box of 2016…
