Before we get on to our gorgeous yarn boxes I have some fun news for you! The Yarn Tree now has it’s own customer chat group on Facebook. Come along, share your creations and get a sneak peek at what’s to come in the new year.
We’ve had two rather awesome (if I do say so myself) yarn boxes dispatch recently and I’m excited to tell you all about them.
Our first box was Autumn. Mel, who is the creative genius behind all the boxes, wanted to break away from the generic colours for Autumn and try something a little more special. These were her inspiration pictures for the yarn:
In their box everyone received:
- A 100g skein of “The Harvest” on a merino/nylon sock base – the base for all colour ways can be customised to suit your taste, just let us know what you’d like when you fill in the sign up form or drop us a message on Facebook.
- A set of owl stitch markers, handmade by Wychwood Dreams
- An apple scented soap from Kaleidosoap Co
- Some delicious marzipan fruits from Clare’s Cakes and More
For those who ordered it the additional skein of yarn was “Blackberry Bushes” on a merino/nylon gold sparkle sock base.
Our second box is one of my personal favourite themes – I Am Sherlocked.
Everybody received:
- 100g of “The Fabulous Baker Street Boys” on a sparkle sock base
- A Sherlock themed row counter cleverly made by Wychwood Dreams
- An “I am Sherlocked” badge
- Authentic Scottish shortbread (hands up if you knew Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was born in Edinburgh) with a Sherlock themed wrapper
- Some wicked Moriartea
For those who ordered it the additional skein of yarn was 100g of “The Problems of your Future are my Privilege” on a merino/nylon sock base and because I know you want a closer look at the squishiness here are the yarns and their inspiration photos:
